the staff were helpful and friendly. the food was lovely. the hotel had a lovely atmosphere, and it was a great hotel overall.
the area is very dirty, even by the country standards. i found people urinating on the street when coming back in the evening. groups of rather shady men gather around the corner of the hotel.

I found such a warm welcome, with the staff offering an upgrade to a spacious suite upon my arrival. The king-size bed provided restful sleep, and I found the in-room coffee machine very convenient. The hotel's proximity to both Gare du Nord and Gare de l'Est made transportation simple.

the location was superb with many cafes nearby. metro access was easy and convenient. the room itself was very clean and i slept soundly on the comfortable bed mattress. the shower had great water pressure and nice shower gel was included.
the courtyard noise at night was disruptive to sleep. restaurant workers chatted late. i was unable to sleep after busy days sightseeing. this was disappointing.

I noticed the neighborhood felt a bit unsafe at night. I would not recommend women traveling alone to go out after dark.

the breakfast selection was acceptable with many options available.
the neighborhood felt unsafe at night. i saw groups of men gathered nearby, giving me cause for concern. plus, the noise from the courtyard kept me awake late into the night it seems bar employees liked chatting after hours. this made sleeping difficult after long days.
